The navigation protection project consists of a single offshore breakwater 1,600 feet long with a top elevation of 10 feet above mean low water. The breakwater would afford storm protection, additional available anchorage space and possible change in the present circulation pattern of the harbor. A small area of shellfish habitat will be covered by the breakwater. A change in the circulation pattern may adversely effect recreational and boating resources, water quality goals and aesthetics.
