The project is a four-lane freeway comprising the final link in a freeway and expressway facility in Santa Barbara County, California. Heavy earthwork will create major changes in the earth contours with unavoidable scars. Animals will be displaced to other forests in the area until reforestation complete. A small portion of a Bishop pine stand is temporarily lost.
