The report contains the land-use and transportation plans for the Springfield urbanized area designed to meet the 1990 needs of the entire region. It sets forth forecasts of future land use, economic activity, and travel. These are related to a generalized land-use sketch plan which serves primarily as a guide to transportation system development. The report evaluates alternative transportation systems from which a recommended transportation plan is developed. (Author)
