The document is the first of three study volumes, containing the detailed inventories of land use, transport facilities and travel. It is unusual in the breadth and extent of its coverage, and provides an important reference document. The purpose of the over-all study was to prepare a transportation plan which will meet the 1990 land-use and travel needs of the 830-square mile study area.
