A series of 2.75-inch icing test firings was carried out at US Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama during the winter of 1975-1976. The existence of a launcher icing problem was verified. Several passive protection devices were tested. A final solution was not found, but the ground-work for future efforts was laid. (Author)
