This report presents data and information concerning tests of Phase I Armament Subsystem, Helicopter 2.75-inch Rocket Launcher, XM3, including modular pod jettison tests, flight rocket firing accuracy tests, and miscellaneous tests. The weapon system tested consisted of two 24-tube launcher pods containing a maximum of 48 2.75inch folding fin aircraft rockets and a fire control system with sighting, computing, and weapon servo drive capabilities. The design and development of the system are considered adequate for a Phase I program and all major problems encountered have been successfully resolved. (Author)
