The objective of the study was to select the most cost-effective of four new guardrail-bridgerail transition designs based on the findings obtained from conducting full-scale vehicle crash tests. In all tests, the first 10 in. x 10 in. wood post located 3 ft.-1 1/2 in. back from the bridgerail end connection was left out.
