The four major objectives of the program are to demonstrate the feasibility of special-purpose bus lines for specifically-identified passenger groups, to demonstrate the specialized marketing techniques needed to promote and establish personalized bus service, to demonstrate system economies through integration of these special-purpose lines with existing general-purpose operations, and to develop criteria for determining mix (balance) between special-purpose and general-purpose operations.
