This report is part of the investigation of high speed waterborne (HSW) passenger transportation in the United States. It addresses existing and former U.S. HSW transportation operations and discusses reasons for the success or failure of the operations. The objective of this report is to summarize past and ongoing experience in a way that will stimulate the further development of HSW transportation services in this country.
