The definition of a fine attitude measurement system was analyzed using data from the TPD/TNO star mapper, the SODERN star tracker, and the MSDS star mapper, for Earth resources missions. Configurations, preliminary interface data, and performances were generated. Performance was treated parametrically to account for the early definition of the star sensors and other system parameters (alignment, orbit determination). The study should be refined by re-examining the issues after the star sensor definition studies are completed.
