The feasibility study, completed by the Louis Berger Group in 2003, presents the primary operational requirements along with key design and construction criteria for the development of the Port of Kamar (Guinea) expansion. The expansion is made up of two main components, the Marine Terminal and the Rail Terminal and Bulk Storage complex. Covered in this report are topics such as site data, cargo descriptions and throughput requirements, cargo delivery and distribution, storage requirements, material handling and conveying systems, dredging and navigation, marine structure, upland development, railroad and trackwork, building, electrical power and distribution, and instrumental systems.
