The Air Force P76-5 satellite is scheduled to be launched on a Scout launch vehicle from the Western Test Range on May 22, 1976. The launch vehicle for the P76-5 will be a Scout B-1 configuration, vehicle S-179C, with a 34 inch diameter heatshield. The Scout vehicle will place the spacecraft into a nearly circular, sun-synchronous orbit of 542.5 NM x 543.7 NM, period 105.243 minutes, at an inclination of 99.5 degrees.
