The inadequacies of the present airport at Joplin, Missouri, are outlined in terms of recent population growth and the new requirements of larger capacity aircraft. The report recommends enlarging the airport through land acquisition and development of facilities. Specific recommendations are made for two phases of development: 1971-1975 and 1976-1990. Projects suggested relate to flight facilities and also to development of an industrial air park, parking, a terminal building, and a sewer system. (EDA abstract)
