The report describes how to track targets in a sea environment using an autonomous underwater vehicle. To solve this task, a battery powered underwater vehicle (named MacArov), equipped with a multibeam sonar, is used. An expert system is used to make the system intelligent. The report concentrates on the configuration of the expert system for use in an autonomous underwater vehicle.
