What kind of ship is the most suitable for the fleet replacements in the scheduled traffic between Oslo and Nesodden. The report presents a discussion of consequences for the operator, passengers, the community and other transport operators. High speed vessels are recommended on basic assumptions of manufacturers price, ice strengthening, and dispensation from speed regulations in the area. As a subsidary recommendation appears a passenger ferry with gangways in both ends. Contributions to the analysis are given by Marintek.
