This study was undertaken to design equipment which would permit weighing trucks within 5 percent accuracy of true static weight at speed up to 60 mph utilizing newly devised sensors. An array of ten scales was emplaced in a track, so as to intercept the right hand wheels of vehicles traveling in the sixty mile per hour lane. Scale outputs were recorded on magnetic tape for seven different vehicle/load combinations at velocities from 15 to 60 miles per hour. Ten runs were made at each velocity. (BPR abstract)
