A common method of measuring traffic safety in different traffic environments is to count the number of accidents and relate these to the traffic volume, for example traffic mileage. This gives the accident rate. The aim of the project is to analyze and compare traffic safety in different traffic environments on the basis of a cost-standardized accident rate.
