The highway project begins on existing U.S. 66 three miles west of Winslow at the Coconino-Navajo County Line, and extends in an easterly direction to Station 3262. The total length of the project is 8.43 miles and consists of standard Interstate roadway section. The proposed bypass route will remove the through traffic from the narrow streets of Winslow, thus eliminating a critically congested condition and increase traffic safety and shopper convenience.
