The airworthiness and qualification tests (Phase D) of the CH-47B production helicopter were conducted. Performance, flying qualities and mission capability were evaluated to determine the suitability of the CH-47B as a replacement for the CH-47A, determine specification compliance and obtain detailed performance and stability and control information for inclusion in technical manuals and other publications. There were no deficiencies disclosed which would affect the mission accomplishment of the helicopter.
