Tests were performed on a wing of the lightweight aircraft LFU 205. The wing was tested in critical load cases up to 1.5 times the value of the safe load. Even higher safe load values were to some extent achieved. The test results provide information on the tensile strength, stability, and deformation characteristics of the wing and thus permit an assessment of the spanwise tubular method of construction.
