The study identifies the types and amounts of recreational travel in Washington State, assesses the impact of gasoline supply and price, investigates the attitudes of local and out-of-state travelers regarding travel in the past, present and future. The future includes a gasoline price scenario. The study also addresses the reasons for change in recreational travel behavior and provides recommendations to minimize the adverse effects of gasoline prices on recreational travel.
