The report presents the results of a study undertaken to improve in concrete pavement patching techniques. Activities included an evaluation of the suitability of the impact hammer and maturity calculations for determining when a patch is ready toreceive traffic, the determination of the compressive strength of typical patches at the time they are first subjected to traffic, the collection of installation data on selected patches, and subsequent monitoring of the performance of the patches over a 33- to 81-month period.
