Bending moments and shear forces were measured independently at Stations 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15 on a segmented, self-propelled, 10-ft mahogany model representing a ship of the Mariner Class. Model bending moments and shear forces, pitch angle, and heave acceleration, as well as wave height, were recorded simultaniouslv. The model was tested in head waves with wave length to model length ratios ranging from 0.75 to 2.00 and wave length to wave height ratios from 20 to 40. Test results and anlyses are presented.
