This paper will describe the results of an ongoing investigation into controller design for the rejection of atmospheric turbulence. The gust disturbance is considered as an extra input to the well-known H∞ mixed sensitivity design formulation. Results from the nonlinear simulations are presented, and these show significant improvement in the helicopters performance.
