Many disabled persons are totally dependent on electric vehicle systems for mobility within the home and for transport outside the home. The performance and reliability of these vehicles can have a very significant influence on the type of life and activity which disabled persons enjoy. The requirements of such vehicles can be varied and depends to a large extent on the disability of the potential user. Here, the author describes how certain requirements, however, which most vehicles would be expected to satisfy can be identified. (4 pages)
