In order to evaluate the safety of electric vehicles carried in waterway foreign trade container transportation and solve the problems of insufficient evaluation data and poor data quality, gray cloud safety evaluation model for electric vehicles in waterway foreign trade container transportation is proposed based on gray theory and cloud theory. Firstly, evaluation index system is constructed. Sequence relationship analysis method (G1), entropy method and game theory are used to calculate combination weights of each indicator. And then gray cloud model is used to calculate gray cloud clustering coefficient of each indicator. Comprehensive clustering coefficient is obtained. Finally, safety level is determined. Case study is carried out using gray cloud method. The results show that safety level of electric vehicles carried in waterway foreign trade container transportation is general level, which is in line with the actual situation. Countermeasures and suggestions are proposed for indicators with general and poor level. The case study shows that gray cloud evaluation model has good applicability and feasibility in the safety evaluation of electric vehicles in waterway foreign trade container transportation.
