A conceptual design of Pilot Activated Automatic Recovering System (PAARS) using fuzzy logic system is outlined. The new concept utilizes the same sensors data used on the existing system to construct input domain called sectors. Each sector requires different pilot techniques to bring the aircraft to the desired state of wings level, slightly climbing, and nominal speed. Membership functions are designed to cover the multi-input multi-output domains. Fuzzy rules are generated to provide the necessary corrective actions. Initial simulation results indicate a great potential in achieving the required performance with significant reduction in development cost. Future simulation is planned to optimize performance for different design parameters.
