Abstract Automatic Speed Control Technique of a vehicle proposes a system which controls the speed of vehicle automatically in any critical zone, without major inconvenience to driver. This paper explains an electromagnetic braking system which is controlled by fuzzy. Fuzzy Logic System mainly controlled by two input parameters. One is vehicle load and second one is distance from obstacle, here vehicle load is calculating by strain gauge and obstacle distance is calculating by ultrasonic sensor. Output parameters for the fuzzy system are alternating power and hydraulic pressure. Alternating power to achieve electromagnetic brakes and hydraulic pressure to regulate clutch and accelerator. These input and output parameters are interlinked with fuzzy logic system. When any obstacle comes to range of distance, control system will activate and take inputs and give to fuzzy control system, and it will do fuzzification and finally generate outputs. And this system works under third and fourth gears only (considered traffic). Mostly accidents occur when humans or obstacles approach suddenly to the vehicles, and during these situations, we do not have much time to think and apply the brakes; for such conditions, automatic speed control system is helpful to control the speed of a vehicle automatically.
