In this paper a single-phase modified continuous input current switched boost inverter (SBI) is presented. The proposed inverter is modified version of SBI in which additional inductor and capacitor are switched with classical SBI to obtain high voltage gain. Detailed comparative analysis (considering the voltage, current stresses and component counts) between the proposed and other conventional impedance source inverters are carried out the highlight the advantages of the proposed inverter. Steady state analysis of proposed topology with simulation and experimental verification are discussed with modified PWM in this paper. TMS320F28335 DSP is used for experimental verification of the proposed inverter.
