This paper presents a Z-source based DC-DC converter i.e. Switched-capacitor based high gain boost converter. Unlike other boost or Z-source based topologies, the presented converter is capable of providing a higher voltage gain at lower duty ratio. To achieve this, different switching scheme applied to it such that the converter is able to produce high voltage gain. The presented converter performance is analyzed by obtaining its different operating modes at steady-state and to analyze its dynamic performance the state-space model is obtained. In addition, a comparison between the presented and other Z-source topologies are obtained. Finally, simulation results are obtained to demonstrate and verify the effectiveness of presented converter voltage gain enhancement feature.
