In this paper a focus is on the development of a modeling approach that enables relatively rapid evaluation of the performance of high-power dynamic inductive wireless charging systems. Derivation and validation of the models are provided along with a description of their use in multi-objective optimization studies that are used to compare the performance of alternative core materials for a single-phase system designed for charging commercial trucks operating at highway speeds.
