Renewable energy sources play a vital role to satisfy the emerging power demand. Among all the renewable energy sources, PV will become much popular as it has its own advantages when compared to other sources. The major aspect in which all the researchers are focusing in PV is extracting maximum power from a PV module. There are various MPPT techniques proposed by the researchers. This paper has proposed the tracking on maximum power of a PV module with the help of particle swarm optimization technique. The proposed system was simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK software and compared the results of PSO MPPT with other existing MPPT techniques.
