In order to realize more optimized current stress of switches and soft switching in a wider range, this paper proposes a unified high-frequency AC buck/boost (UHFBB) control strategy for dual active-bridge bidirectional converter (DAB-BDC). The evolution of UHFBB theory is derived from buck and boost DC/DC converter operated in DCM. A multi-variable solving method is proposed to achieve the duty ratios for driven signals modulation. The calculation flow chart is given, which is the basis for the closed-loop control. The analysis is verified by the experimental results from a 500W prototype.
