In this paper, a Boost type control strategy is proposed to solve the problems of large power backflow and low conversion efficiency in dual active bridge bidirectional DC-DC converter which occur in the traditional phase-shifted control strategies. In the condition that the main topology circuit is not changed, the control strategy proposed in this paper can make the circuit work in Boost state every switching cycle by changing the control timing sequence and logic of the switches, so as to transfer the energy from the input side to the output side through the energy storaging and releasing of the inductor, and the control principle of the backward mode is the same as that of the forward mode, then bidirectional flow of energy can be realized. In the Boost type control strategy, the current in the inductor is discontinuous, and then the energy stored in the inductor in each switching cycle is all released to the output side, which can decrease the power backflow of the input power supply to zero and improve the efficiency of energy transmission. Finally, the boost type control strategy proposed in this paper is simulated and verified through simulink, simulation results show that the power backflow of the converter can be reduced effectively under the proposed control strategy and the conversion efficiency is improved.
