The environmental impact and the pollution of air from ships is receiving increasing attention. Due to the characteristics of the combustion process and the use of heavy fuels, the marine diesel engine is one of the largest pollutants of the sea and air because it emits significant amounts of pollutants This study reports exhaust gas emission evaluation of marine diesel engine at different speed. Exhaust gas emissions, carbon monoxide CO, unburned hydrocarbon HC and carbon dioxide CO2 emissions levels were analyzed during the actual operation of the ship in operation. The method and procedure for measuring the ship's engine exhaust emissions during navigation were explained and the obtained results are compared with IMO regulations.
