In view of the development requirements of civil helicopter flight management system and the problem of vertical guidance and control, the typical sub-modes of vertical guidance were analyzed, and the guidance law was designed. Then, based on the theory of finite state machine, the Stateflow tool is used to study the management of vertical guidance mode switching logic. Finally, considering the problem of control channel switching in the process of mode switching, the smooth mode switching technology with rate limit and amplitude limit is developed, which provides method guidance and experimental basis for the vertical profile design of civil aircraft flight management system. The experimental results show that the proposed method is reasonable and feasible, and has certain theoretical and practical value.
