We explore the actual problem of locomotive traction asynchronous electric drive control system design with accounting processes in the contact point “wheel - rail”. The article describes the new approach to the locomotive traction drive regulator design based on methods of synergetic control theory. Proposed traction regulator provides the desired slippage velocity of wage wheels against rail surface, thereby implementing the maximum thrust mode, as well as energy efficiency that keeps energy losses minimal in the power section of the drive.
