In this paper an extensive study of different topologies for implementing a low voltage high current power supply for the provision of power to advanced technology cores in satellite applications will be described. Twenty three different topologies have been studied for their ability to achieve the target specifications and some of the more promising architectures have been identified and will be described in detail along with the evaluation criteria and methodology used to evaluate them,
