In order to improve the performance of torque difference and re-adhesion control for traction system, a control strategy of dual induction motors (IMs) fed by single inverter is proposed. The weighted vector control model of dual IMs and the related factors of torque difference are analyzed. Then the expression of torque difference and re-adhesion control are derived by adjusting excitation current and weight value. The simulation and experiment results in multiple induction motor platforms prove that the proposed control strategy can control torque difference efficiently and avoid slip of dual IMs with unbalanced load.
