Mission planners play a critical role in the performance of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs). However, their dependence on specific hardware often limits their flexibility and compatibility across different platforms. This paper introduces a Hardware Independent Mission Planner (HIMP) for autonomous systems equipped with advanced features such as trajectory planning and real-time tracking. Unlike traditional mission planners that are tied to specific flight controllers, the HIMP offers versatility and compatibility with a wide range of autonomous systems. Its effectiveness is validated through both simulations and real-time testing, demonstrating robust telemetry data transfer via various communication protocols. This paper underscores the potential of HIMP to significantly enhance the autonomy of autonomous vehicles and improve the real-time tracking of their trajectories.
