A multi-server video monitor system based on streaming media communication technology is proposed. Large-scale, long-distance monitoring requirements have been met. The video monitor software is researched, which has the function of video restoration, proprietary protocol is used to realize video transmitting smoothly. In the part of the software programming, multi-threaded mechanism and double buffering are used to achieve real-time video displaying, communication signaling between client and servers is also designed.
