To obtain a monitor system capable of improving availability by suppressing power consumption.SOLUTION: A monitor system 100 includes a water surface sensor 1 and a monitor server 2. The water surface sensor 1 is floated on water surface 5 and transmits positioning information including information from positioning signals received from satellites 3a, 3b. The monitor server 2 calculates the position of the water surface sensor 1 based on positioning information transmitted from the water surface sensor 1. The monitor server 2 transmits moving information which is information for moving the water surface sensor 1 to a specific position in a reference rage to the water surface sensor 1 when the position of the water surface sensor 1 is outside a reference range. The water surface sensor 1 moves on the water surface 5 based on the movement information transmitted from the monitor server 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
