The study is based on tourist type and focuses on four common local travel modes to compare tourism utility through analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Local travel unity is decided by both origin and destination, and service quality. Tourists can be divided into business and leisure types according to significant difference in time and destination plan. And it turns out that business and leisure tourists are both most sensitive to travel plan, but factors significantly affecting leisure tourist are more dispersive, including expense, plan and information of attractions. In addition, private car is more appealing to both tourist types than public transport due to higher service quality. But leisure tourist are less dependent on private cars and more liable to be transferred to mass transportation. The above conclusion will help to support decision of local tourism transport optimization both in precedence and design proposal.
