In this paper, theoretical research, numerical simulation and experimental validation to regulate the Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) are presented. In view of this, the Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) with WECS is briefly described, and its conversion control strategy is discussed very detailed. Also, this paper, focuses on the use of a PI (Proportional-Integral) controller for adjusting the active power, reactive power, rotor speed and voltage in the dc-link. Rotor Side Converter (RSC) controls the flow of power from the DFIG stator to the grid by controlling the DFIG rotor currents. Grid Side Converter (GSC) ensures DC power supply control to the required value, and controls the flow of energy from the DFIG to the grid by controlling the filter currents. The overall WECS simulation was done numerically and validated by experimentally. Both the simulation results and the results of Experiment confirmed the validity of the proposed method.
