According to the various international standards, the unintentional islanding establishment must be identified and subsequently, the distributed generators (DGs) should be turned off. It protects the electrical equipment and safeguards the maintenance personnel from life-threatening health hazards. In this article, a Communication-less Hybrid Unintentional Islanding Detection Technique (CHUIDT) for IIDGs is proposed. This work is based on d-axis current disturbance injection (DCDI), when the circuit breaker is open, and consequently analyses the mean rate of change of d-axis voltage (MRCDV). Since CHUID is developed the power quality degradation (PQD) during the grid-connected operation (GCO) is eliminated. The proposed methodology is validated for several islanding conditions (IC) and non-islanding conditions (NIC) through MATLAB/Simulink 2024. The results prove the worth of the proposed methodology.
