The aeronautical satellite broadband high-rate data communication systems have a great advantage over other communication methods in the extent of transmitting emergent information and are an ideal platform for emergent real time video transmission, incident investigation and exploration, disaster locating and rescuing, geographic resources research as well as remote monitoring. One key challenge of aeronautical satellite communication systems is how to perfectly design the airplane-born satellite equipments and effectively put these equipments with low aerodynamic resistance. This paper provides the system design of an aeronautical satellite high data rate transmission and gives the mechanical structure design and simulation analysis of such system. Simulation results show that although the airplane flight performance is a little affected by installing a set of transmitting equipment on the airplane, the airplane flight safety can be assured.
