This study explores the cost efficiency and sustainability for four-wheeler electric vehicles (EVs) compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) based vehicles. With growing environmental concerns and the rising cost of fossil fuels, there is an increasing interest in EVs as a sustainable alternative to the traditional ICE based vehicles. The research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the economic and ecological implications of adopting EVs over ICE based vehicles, offering valuable insights for consumers, policymakers, and manufacturers. Preliminary findings indicate that while EVs typically have a higher initial purchase price but they offer significant savings in operational and maintenance costs over time. The conclusions drawn will aid in informed decision-making regarding vehicle purchase and the development of policies to promote sustainable transportation solutions.
