The global automotive industry is undergoing a transformative shift with the rising popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) as an eco-friendly alternative to the traditional Internal Combustion Engine based Vehicles (ICEVs). This paper presents a comparative cost analysis of EVs and ICEVs, examining their cost and potential implications for the transportation sector. A critcal point of 6 km has been observed in this study below which if the daily run of the vehicle falls, it will not be economical to opt for EVs otherwise if the daily run of the vehicle is above this critical point, there will be a wise decision to opt for EVs in comparison to the ICEVs.
