Renewable energy resources are becoming more prominent than non-renewable energy resources due to their replenishing nature on the earth. Among these renewable energy resources, Solar PV and Wind play a major role. To accomplish the low cost and higher efficiency in transformerless inverters PV power systems are majorly used. This work presents a comparison of transformerless PV grid-tied inverter topologies. Among these topologies, are the full bridge converter, Heric Converter and H6 converter. The pulses are generated to the inverter by closed loop based SVPWM (space vector pulse width modulation) technique and for step-up (boost converter) the pulses are generated by using the MPPT controlling technique. For attaining the safety measures of leakage currents, different topologies of the transformerless inverters are designed. The performance results evaluate the best inverter topology for the reduction of leakage currents in the system. The simulation results are evaluated by using MATLAB/Simulink Software.
