Traction and levitation control are two key technologies of EMS high-speed Maglev. Changes in levitation will lead to changes in the magnetic field of the linear motor, which in turn affects traction force. This paper comprehensively analyses the calculation methods of traction and levitation force, as well as the coupling magnetic linkage between stator and mover. The following conclusions were obtained: when the levitation is stable, the ratio of the levitation current and levitation gap remains stable, and the coupling magnetic linkage and the traction force are not affected by the changes of the two. The calculation formulas of coupled magnetic linkage and traction force were also given, and the FEM analysis verifies the conclusion.
